China launches the first space orbiter |

Chinese orbiter Tiangong-1 was launched today at 21:16 in Chinese time with the help of rocket "Changzheng-2F" from Jiuquan spaceport in Gansu province. The main objective of the orbital module "Tyangun-1" - is to be an experimental platform to study the docking systems, life support and communications, that will be used to create the first Chinese space station. By the end of 2011 will be launched by an unmanned space module "Shenzhou-8", which must become the first Chinese space station. Until the end of 2013 will be launched already two manned spacecraft for space docking with the orbital module Tiangong-1 and by 2020 China plans to create a full orbital space station.
