The Parliament of Republic of Marshall Islands has approved a establishing of the National park for sharks, which covers an area of nearly 2 million square kilometers. The solution of the Marshall Islands parliament was due to the fact, that many species of sharks, that live near the islands, are endangered due to intensive extraction. As stated by Senator Marshall Islands parliament, Tony de Brum, which is one of the author of this law, that the new law will save some shark species in the Marshall Islands from extinction, and other types of sharks will restore the strength of their populations. National park for sharks near the Marshall Islands will become the largest reserve for the sharks in the world.
