Launched four months ago, the microsatellite "University-Tatiana-2" from Moscow State University (Lomonosov Moscow State University) discovered a previously unknown atmospheric phenomena in the Earth's upper atmosphere, which is a wonderful glow in different colors, which has been called elves. Also, the satellite detected the weak short-term outbreak, which occurred in one or the other place in the Earth's upper atmosphere, which had never been noticed, as microsatellite was equipped with new detectors of ultraviolet and infrared radiation. It is unclear, which causes this glow, but it is expected that the new satellite - "Lomonosov", which will be launched in 2012 will answer on these questions.
