A group of scientists from Florida Institute of Technology and from University of Hawaii at Manoa, with the support of the NOAA has created an information system, that can predict the power of the eruption of various types of volcanoes. According to scientists, each type of volcanic eruption at different power, produce of different infrasound with certain range, before the upcoming eruption. Infrasound caused by movement of magma to the crater of the volcano and the state on the eve of the eruption is characterized by the appearance of subsonic in certain frequency bands. However, the main problem so far boils down to what can be more reliably predict the eruption of the volcano, which erupted earlier and the scientists were able to record infrasound before their eruption. In the world gathered a large number of instances, when the animals leave the territory near volcanoes before the eruption of volcanoes, animals could probably feel some infrasound, informing them of the coming eruption. But scientists hope, that their information system built on the basis of artificial neural networks will reveal more general criteria for predicting the eruption of all the volcanoes on Earth.
