Archaeologists from the University of Southampton and the British School, together with specialists from the Italian Archaeological Survey of Rome, on the excavation of the ancient city of Portus (which was the port of Rome in ancient times) have discovered the remains of the greatest of Roman yard. Portus was the principal port of ancient Rome, through which Rome received all the goods. It is assumed, that the old shipyard buildings were created during the Roman emperor Trajan (98-117 A.D.)
