Group of astrophysicists from the University of Warsaw and University of Naples announced, that they open a new way of determining distances in the Universe by analyzing the properties of the radiation accompanying to gamma-ray bursts, which are huge energy release in gamma-ray range. According to Marek Demyanski from University of Warsaw, Poland on the basis of a new method for the first time was able to estimate the rate of expansion in the earliest stages after the Big Bang, so just using the new method can be measured by the distance of the most remote corners of the Universe.
