In the magazine Nature, a team of astronomers, led by Thomas McCord from the Bear Fight Institute in Winthrop, USA, Carle Pieters from Brown University in Providence, USA and Christopher Russell from the University of California at Los Angeles, United States published an article, which is stated that the asteroid Vesta covered with a layer of small stones up to 2 meters thick. This explains the phenomenon of absence on the surface of the asteroid Vesta, signs of damage to its surface rocks from the solar wind, which was discovered by automatic station «Dawn». As reported these U.S. planetary scientists, over past 3.5 billion years, on the surface of the asteroid Vesta fell about 300 large asteroids with a diameter of 1 km to 10 km, and the rocks from which they are composed, with the impact smashed into little stones, that covered the surface of the asteroid Vesta as a layer of crumbs in the form of a giant blanket, up to 2 meters thick in some places, making the asteroid Vesta is like a giant anthill, THE VIDEO: http://hainanwel.com/en/unusual-world/2 ... vesta.html
