In the Science magazine was published an article of archaeologists from the University of Toronto, Canada and Arizona State University in Tempe, USA, under the guidance of Jayne Wilkins and Kyle Brown, that near a South African town of Kathu were found a fragments of oldest spears with age of 500 thoUSAnd years, which is proof, that the Heidelberg man, the common ancestor of modern humans and Neanderthals, invented the spear at 200,000 earlier, than previously thought. According to Jayne Wilkins nd Kyle Brown, these fragments of ancient copies, which were made of the half-million years ago suggests, that the expected date of the invention of the first spears is shifted in the past at least of 200,000 years, since the age of the ancient spear, that previously found, no more than 300,000 years, and this proves, that the spear was invented by Heidelberg people, but did not of their descendants- Neanderthals and Cro-Magnons. As reported, archaeologists carried out excavations in the system of deep ravines, which are located to the north-west of the South African city of Kathu, where they found a fragments of stones, which had traces of chips and scratches on the tips, which led scientists to suggest, that these stones were used as a tip of spears, because only when these stones are used as the tip of the spear- the stone have a set of characteristic damage and cracks on the surface, THE VIDEO:
