In Turkey, the application will appear for tourists to find doctors who speak different languages

Turkish Ministry of Health plans in mid-December 2014 to launch mobile app for tourists lets you search for doctors working nearby who speak a particular language.

"Say you're a Swedish tourist, who came to Turkey, and your child fell and broke his leg. All you have to do is open the app and find Swedish-speaking orthopaedist who works nearby "- Hurriyet Daily News quoted the head of the Department of Health Development Minister Omer Tontusa.

The application will look for doctors within a radius of 30 km from the location of the user. If the matching results are found, the search range is expanded to 50 km. If the application can not find the expert, speaking in the target language, the user is prompted to turn to English-speaking doctors working nearby.

The application will be available in seven languages - English, German, Russian, French, Spanish, Swedish and Arabic - and adapted as a smartphone and a tablet.
