Celebration of Chinese culture 2012 on Hainan Island, China will be held in Wenchang, Hainan Island from April 2, 2012 to April 3, 2012. Visitors will be able to see the performance of original artists from the provinces of China, to taste cuisines of the Hainan Island and also to see and to buy the products of artists from many provinces of China. Wenchang City is located on the north-east of Hainan Island, 70 kilometers of the city of Haikou (see the map at the top of this article). Population of Wenchang City is about 130,000 people, making it the third of most populous town in Hainan Province. Wenchang City is famous for its coconut plantations, the largest of these plantations are called - Dong Jiao Ye Lin and Jian Hua Shan Ye Lin, these plantations are located near a small townof Qing Lan Gang. As say local people of the Hainan Island: "In Wenchang are grown of half coconuts of Hainan". In addition, near the Wenchang are located a mangrove forest, which is one of the largest remaining mangrove forests in China and the Confucian Temple, which was built in the 12th century.
