Will rise a tickets prices to China and Asian countries from 36 countries of the world: Russia has closed its skies for airlines from Europe

In response to the ban on Russian airlines from flying to EU countries, Russia has closed its skies to airlines from European countries, now airlines from 36 countries (listed below) will need permission to fly over Russia.

Russia not only closes its airports for the arrival of aircraft from these 36 countries, but also generally prohibits flights in Russian airspace in transit to any other countries, in particular to China and Asian countries. Therefore, aircraft will have to change their usual routes, so flights to a number of destinations will take much longer and become much more expensive.

For example, the flight "London-Tokyo" takes about 9500 kilometers and 6500 kilometers of them lie over Russia. Now airliners from London will have to fly 12,000 km and the route will be 3 hours longer. There is also a new problem - for example, the popular Boeing 777-300ER has a range of 10,200 km, that is, it can be put on a route of 9,500 km, and on a route of 12,000 km - only with an intermediate landing, which will also cause significant costs. There is a possibility that tickets from EU countries to Asian countries may rise in price by 2-3 times.

All flights of carriers from these 36 countries can now be operated only after obtaining a special permit from the Federal Air Transport Agency or the Russian Foreign Ministry.

This news has already caused a significant drop in the stock prices of many airlines from the EU countries. Shares of most European airlines fell by -6% to -32% due to the huge costs associated with Russia's retaliatory sanctions to ban its airspace from  flights of aircraft from 36 European countries
