There is no ban on flights to Russia in China, the Russian An-124 large transport aircraft arrived in Xi'an
It was with this title that an article about the current state of air travel from Russia to China and back appeared in a number of Chinese media today.
Since the end of February 2022, in addition to the constant closure of airspace for Russia by many countries, Russian aircraft have also faced the risk of hijacking while flying to foreign countries, so Russia has stopped foreign flights to a large number of countries, but according to data provided by the automatic surveillance system ADS- B, Russian An-124 transport aircraft still fly to and from China.
The Russian An-124 aircraft arrived at Xi'an International Airport on June 11, and after 17 hours of unloading and loading new goods, the aircraft returned to Russia on June 12. This aircraft is one of several aircraft of the Russian transport company Volga-Dnepr, which regularly carries out transportation to China from Russia and back, as we have repeatedly reported on this website.
Despite the fact that over the past few months, part of the aircraft of the Volga-Dnepr airline was also hijacked in European countries, including several An-124 transport aircraft located at the Leipzig airport in Germany and an An-124 aircraft in Canada, but the Chinese journalists argue that Russia can safely send its planes to China, because China does not have a flight ban for Russia.
In addition to flights to China of An-124 aircraft, flights to China of Il-76 aircraft are also reported, Il-76 aircraft of the Russian airline Volga-Dnepr fly to Shenzhen.
