Taobao company fined for using someone else's registered trademarks in Taobao stores
The website of the Bureau of Market Supervision of China's Anhui Province announced the most common e-commerce infringement cases in 2021 related to the use of someone else's registered trademarks on Taobao.
Reportedly, the most typical case is the illegal use of other people's trademarks in Taobao stores. For example, law enforcement officers from the Tianchang Market Supervision Bureau checked one of the Taobao cable products company and found that it illegally used the trademark of a more famous Chinese company to sell its own cable products in its registered Taobao store.
Therefore, the Tianchang Market Supervision Bureau reviewed the case and found that the company's actions violated Article 57 of the Trademark Law of the People's Republic of China. According to Article 60 of the Trademark Law of the People's Republic of China, this company was ordered to immediately stop the infringement and the company was fined 20,000 yuan.
