Thailand makes it easier for vaccinated and unvaccinated tourists to enter

From May 1, 2022, the Thai authorities have simplified entry rules and approved two new programs for vaccinated and unvaccinated tourists.

According to the new, relaxed rules, upon arrival, tourists will only need to show a certificate of vaccination with a vaccine recognized in the country, including Sputnik V. At the same time, unvaccinated tourists will have to undergo PCR testing 72 hours before the trip or spend five days in quarantine.

Now tourists in Thailand who have been ill with coronavirus and vaccinated with at least one dose of the drug are considered fully vaccinated.

At the same time, vaccination certificates with the two components of Sputnik V are recognized as unlimited, however, tourists vaccinated with Sputnik Light are not considered fully vaccinated and are also required to pass a PCR test before entering the country and enter it into the Thailand Pass system.

However, direct flights from Russia to Thailand are currently not carried out, and a one-way transfer ticket costs about 50-60 thousand rubles. Russian tourists can fly to Bangkok via Dubai, Doha. In the near future it will be possible to do this via Abu Dhabi and Cairo when there are direct flights to Egypt.
