Simultaneously, the Islamist group "Dzhayash al-Islam", together with parts of the movement "Al-Nusra Front" September 12 launched a counteroffensive on the government side in the region of Tal Kurdi, Adra and Haraszti to retake territory, repulsed the army last year and break out East Huta district (near Damascus). The attack was partially successful - militants seized the territory adjacent to the hospital and Haraszti Adra central prison. Also successful was the offensive in the area of ​​Dahiye al-Assad, where they managed to lose part of the government with the previously captured bridgehead. To counter the threat to the area were transferred part of the 105th Brigade of the Republican Guard the total number of 200 people, which are tasked to recapture lost territory.
