According to a publication of the index of "Big Mac", the Russian currency is undervalued by 69 percent and the dollar should be worth 23.2 rubles.

The basis of the study authors have traditionally been the cost of "Big Mac" in various countries around the world and translated it into dollars. In Russia, a hamburger sold for 114 rubles. During the study, the dollar was estimated at 74.66 rubles. Thus, the price of a hamburger was $ 1.53. In the US, it is the same dish sold for 4.93 dollars.

In the ranking of the American hamburger is considered the reference price and the currencies of the countries where a hamburger costs less automatically fall into the undervalued list. It should be noted that in most countries of the world, "Big Mac" is cheaper than in the United States. The Israeli bistro burger sells for 4.29 dollars (NIS 16.9). In Japan, "Big Mac" is $ 3.12 (370 yen), China - 2.68 (17.6 yuan), India - 1.9 (Rs 127).

Only three countries hamburger sold more expensive than in America. In Norway, it is worth 5.91 USD, Sweden - 5.23, and in Switzerland - 6.44. The currency of this country called the creators of the rating revalued by 30.7 percent.

Back in 1986 the index of "Big Mac" was conceived as a comic rating, but experience has shown that it is quite a serious tool for determining the correlation between currencies with real purchasing power of citizens and value of basic foods.
