Video blogger from Haikou, Hainan Island, China, arrested and fined for spreading rumors about robbery

Police of Sanya immediately checked this video and found out that there are no such cases in Sanya, the video report actually refers to the city of Leshan in Sichuan province at 22:00 on August 12, 2018.
On August 14, 2018, the police arrested the video blogger Zeng Molin in Haikou.

On August 15, the Sanya police imposed an administrative detention for 10 days and imposed a fine of 500 on the basis of the first paragraph of Article 25 of the Law of the People's Republic of China on Administrative Offenses.

The police reminded that the Internet is not a place of extra-legal legislation. Article 291 of the Penal Code of the People's Republic of China clearly states: the creation of false dangers, epidemics, natural disasters and police situations, the dissemination of information in information networks or other mass media, if the above false information is intentionally extended to the information network or other media and seriously violates public order, the perpetrator can be sentenced to imprisonment for not more than three years, criminal detention or counter Liu, if they caused serious consequences, he shall be sentenced to imprisonment for a term not less than three years and not more than seven years.

A fine of not more than five hundred yuan is imposed, if the circumstances are relatively minor, detention should be imposed for less than five days or a fine not exceeding five hundred yuan.
