Being a beautiful seaside city, Sanya City made various efforts to create the "International Sailing Capital" for many years and became one of the cities in China, which has the largest number of international tournaments and independent sailing tournaments. The World Sailing Federation has very strict standards in choosing the venue for the official competition, but already now calls the Sanya City the international capital of sailing by the number of competitions it has held in recent years.
