Entry and exit customs clearance procedures have been greatly simplified in the Yangpu port area, Hainan, China

Haikou Customs, Provincial Commerce Department and Yangpu Economic Development Zone Management Committee jointly organized public information services in the Yangpu Free Port Zone. The platform functions will be launched for reporting and demonstration of activities, and press conferences will be held to inform about the platform construction and support the work related to the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port.

The Yangpu Free Trade Port Area, as an important conduit for the early stages of the development of the free trade port institutional arrangements, will take the lead in the implementation of "first line liberalization and second line management" based on the full implementation of various policies and systems for the early implementation of the free trade port Hainan by 2025. Free trade in a free trade port fosters an innovative governance system. On June 3, 2020, the General Administration of Customs issued the "Measures of the Customs of the People's Republic of China for Supervision of the Yangpu Bonded Port Zone" to support the Yangpu Bonded Port Zone to lead the implementation control systems for the import and export of goods of the "first line of liberalization and control of the second line." The Regulatory Commission should establish a public information service platform for the exchange of data and information between the authorities, customs and other regulators in the region.

Since the release of the Hainan Free Trade Port General Plan, the construction of the Yangpu Port Bonded Area has been fully advanced. The infrastructure has undergone further improvements. Six standard workshops with a total area of about 40,000 square meters are under construction. The overall image of the project is 80% fulfilled, and it is expected that it will be commissioned by the end of October. The second batch of new standard factory buildings and overseas warehouses is expected to begin in mid-October and will be delivered next March. Thanks to the favorable overall plan, Yangpu's visual appeal became more and more visible. Currently in the free zone Yangpu Trade Port has 359 registered enterprises, which is 1.6 times more than at the end of last year, which means a multiple increase in the number of registered enterprises. Since June 1, 2020, about 200 new enterprises have been established in the Yangpu zone and 8 projects have been implemented. Business types include healthy food production, high-tech consumer goods manufacturing for tourism, cold chain logistics, cross-border e-commerce, customs control and maintenance, and environmental recycling.
