Between Sanya, Hainan Island, China and the city of Sansha in the Paracel Islands, the first large passenger ship Sansha-2 launched

In Qingyi Port, Wenchang City, Hainan Province, a second passenger ship was built, built after the founding of Sansha in the Paracel Islands - Sansha 2.


The first Sansha-2 passenger ship, with a carrying capacity of 8,000 tons, built in one year and seven months, was officially put into operation and is responsible for the transport support of islands and reefs in the town of Sansha in the Paracel Islands.


Sansha 2 has a total length of 128 meters, a width of 20.4 meters, a draft of 5.7 meters, a total displacement of 8,000 tons, a power reserve of 6,000 nautical miles and can carry 400 passengers. It performs such functions as: the delivery of tourists to the Paracel Islands, administrative jurisdiction, emergency services, emergency medical care and research on the islands and reefs.


After the commissioning of Sansha No. 2, this will further expand the possibilities of transport support between island reefs in the city of Sansha, Hainan Province, and expand the possibilities of rescue at sea and medical assistance.
