Summit on National Communication Strategy was held in Haikou, Hainan Island, China

Haikou hosted the High Level National Communication Strategy Forum, where 50 experts and scholars in the field of national communication strategy gathered to share cutting-edge knowledge on national strategy and national strategic communication, a free trade port and international communication capacity building.


Within the framework of the topic "World public opinion and strategic communication in the context of globalization", the forum discussed ways to achieve new heights in the field of national strategic openness in the context of global instability and growing uncertainty, as well as promoting the image of a free trade port city and international communication opportunities. The creation, promotion of deepening and strengthening of maritime cooperation in the construction of the "belt and road", the promotion of the building of Chinese cultural soft power and the construction of an international discourse system, allows the world to better perceive the development of China and spread mutually beneficial cooperation, cooperation and joint governance of China.


Experts and scientists presented two thematic reports on the topic "World public opinion and strategic communications in the context of globalization." In the afternoon, experts and scholars held a comprehensive exchange of views and scientific discussions on three topics: "One Belt, One Road and Strategic Communication", "Political Communication and Strategic Narration", "Free Trade Port and Building International Communication Capacity".


The High Level Forum on National Communication Strategy ”was initiated and organized by the Research Institute of National Communication Strategy of Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Since 2013, it has been held for eight consecutive sessions with over 2000 participants. The Forum is one of the important platforms for academic exchange in the field of national communication strategy with a wide range of academic and social impact.


The forum was sponsored by the National Communication Strategy Research Institute of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, the School of Journalism, Film and Television of Hainan Normal University, the School of Journalism and Communication of China Minzu University, and the School of Journalism and Information Communication of Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
