In the first seven months of 2018, tourists on the island of Hainan bought
35,800 duty-free products, an increase of 23% year-on-year, total purchases
amounted to 20.1226 million yuan, an increase of 11.8%.
At purchase the tourist can make an order online in one day in advance or buy a duty-free product in a physical store, and then bring his identification card or passport and ticket to the point of reception until the next day to pick up the goods.
The purchase of duty-free merchandise is preferable to passengers, which
provides for surveillance and intensification with simultaneous
effective improvement of passenger purchases.
Due to special circumstances such as flight delays, foggy weather and typhoon
suspensions, customs on Hainan Island provides 24-hour customs clearance service,
dynamically adjusts the delivery time and warns passengers to pick up the goods
in advance to ensure the smooth operation of duty-free trade.
