Haikou, Hainan unexpectedly introduced 7-day control measures from 18:00 on July 9, 2022 and new requirements for leaving Hainan Island

The Coronavirus Epidemic Prevention and Control Office in Haikou, Hainan Province issued a notice to further reduce the flow of people in order to reduce the risk of cross-contamination and strive to bring cases to zero as soon as possible.

According to Chinese media, the city's epidemic prevention and control headquarters decided to introduce 7-day temporary anti-epidemic measures from 18:00 on July 9, 2022. Places of mass entertainment and recreation (CTV, Internet cafes, bars, game and card rooms, bath complexes, gyms, yoga studios and various other places of cultural activities (indoor attractions, cultural centers, libraries, museums, theaters, etc.) e) will be closed for 1 week.


Unnecessarily group events will not be held over the next week, staff gathering will be controlled, and large-scale meetings and various offline trainings will not be held for one week. Businesses and institutions, communities, public places, transportation, outdoor attractions, catering (takeaway), supermarkets and other places must strictly adhere to measures such as code scanning, temperature measurement, standardized mask wearing, ventilation and disinfection.


Epidemic prevention and control requirements when leaving the island: From 00:00 on July 10, 2022, passengers leaving the island must present a health code, an itinerary card, and undergo a normal temperature check.
